This article if relates to the use of the theater in the education, over all with
children in pertaining to school situation of failure. It is intended here to
describe one of the six cases studied in participant research, carried through
with children in the related situation, presenting diverse difficulties of learning,
referred to us by their own teachers. Based on the complaints, a plan of week
long sessions of drama games was prepared covering the entire year. This
plan was set up with a view to promoting and stimulating cognitive functions
involved in the learning processes — which puts in evidence the pedagogical
purpose of the research. However, In the course of the activities, questions
were identified about the subjectivity of the participants, directly connected
with their learning processes. Supporting in the psychoanalytic theory, it was
possible to verify that the use of drama games in education constitutes an
effective teaching and subjective (therapeutic) practice, meaning a possibility
in addressing school failure problems.
