The involvement of the parents in the school life of their children depends to have regular information on their performance in the school. For this reason, in each trimester of the school year the parents receive from the School an informative synthesis concerning the behaviours and results of their children.
However, this information can be diverse and be guided for the fulfilment of a formal informative function or for an entrance in dialogue with the parents, looking for to increase their involvement in processes of contribution in the aid to its children. We can say, in other words, to have a formative perspective of the assessment.
In this article we look for to analyze the given information to the parents, through the registers of assessment of fourteen pupils, object of analysis in the meetings of assessment in all the school periods, pupils with school problems, and of two pupils who it had never been, pupils without school problems. All these pupils respectively belong to the two groups of 2º and 4º grade of elementary education. This analysis allows to evidence that, in general, these information
produced by the school to the parents are developed in an informative transmission perspective, with little clear explanations on the state of the pupils and over all, without supplying concrete orientations guidance’s for the parents, help their children if they want do it.
