The topos of voyeurism in classical theatre and in greek and oriental myths
Resumo
Through the myths from Greece and Near Eastern cultures, rich in
examples of punished voyeurs, which have seen what they weren’t supposed to see, we
intend to illustrate the subject of voyeurism in Antiquity. We’ll explore the voyeurist
tendencies of a series of important characters of Antiquity, never without a punishment,
expressing such a modern will: the domain of the intimacy of the other.
